Questions
Can I try The Sequence before I subscribe?
Year 1 Unit 9: Understanding Tens & Ones is available for free. If you do subscribe and The Sequence isn't right for you, we will refund you, as long as it is within 7 days.
Can I share my subscription?
The price is per individual teacher. If you subscribe before 31 December 2026, the cost is less than $4 a week.
When will Year 2 be available?
Year 2 will be added in 2027, and up to Year 7 will be added over 2027-2028.
What if I teach a Foundation / Year 1 class?
The only way to ensure appropriate student learning is to deliver content that reflects their prior knowledge. A student in Foundation would not have the prior knowledge to complete Year 1 content. You need to teach to two different groups, made easier with the offering of practice material and activities in The Sequence.
What professional development do I need?
The Sequence reflects an instructional model consistent with the VTLM 2.0 and relies on your ability to teach. You are not expected to understand anymore than you already do, except you may gain better insight into how small learning steps really need to be for our youngest learners. You may also see the benefits of sequencing, scaffolding and breaking down of concepts, without having to do the painstacking work yourself.
